How this works
There are three steps, and the third one is the reason people come back to me: I don’t disappear once you’ve booked.
Tell me about your trip
Use the planner or pick up the phone. I want dates (rough is fine), who’s travelling, what you love, and — if roots are part of it — the surname and county. Ten minutes gives me enough to work with.
I match you with a trusted company
I choose between my two or three vetted, family-run partner companies — the right one depends on your group, your pace and your interests — and they get your whole itinerary sorted. You’ll get a real itinerary with real names in it, priced in US dollars, and we’ll refine it together until it’s yours.
And whatever kind of trip you have in mind, these companies are second to none: self-drive, chauffeur-driven, private coach, rail, music, horse racing, hiking, cycling, golf, genealogy — they have the answers.
I’m on the phone while you’re here
From the day you land, you have my number and I answer it — not an office, me. Weather turns, a boat’s cancelled, someone’s knee objects to a hill: I re-arrange it while you finish your breakfast. Ireland is 5 hours ahead of US Eastern time.
What you’re actually paying for
Nothing extra, is the short answer. My advice is free to you; I’m paid by the family-run companies I match you with for making a good match, not for adding to your bill. The itinerary itself is priced in US dollars by the company delivering it — a private driver-guide, a self-drive plan, a golf week, a roots trip or athree-generation family trip— and the $250 Welcome Home comes back to you once your deposit is paid.
If you want a sense of the numbers before we talk, I’ve written an honest guide towhat a trip to Ireland really costs from the US.
